The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine have recommended changes to federal requirements for general direct-care worker training. These include an increase in training hours from 75 to 120, and instructional content with a stronger focus on knowledge and skills related to caring for individuals with Alzheimer’s and other dementias.
The need for Dementia Reality™
